NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Science Day was celebrated on the 26th of January, 2019 in G.V.M.’s Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education. The theme for the celebrations in college was EXPLORING SCIENCE.
The preparation for Science day had started well in advance. Responsibilities were allotted to the Science students. Students of other methods too were given a chance to participate.
The Chief Guest for the function was Dr. Uday Gaonkar. The Function started with the welcoming of the chief guest and declaring open the Science Mela. Science Mela saw the display of various Science exhibits. The library was converted into a Space Arena for a day. Mesmerizing Underwater videos of marine life were shown there.

The formal function started with the welcome song by the Science method students. I was given the responsibility of giving a PowerPoint Presentation on Sir C. V. Raman, in whose honour Science Day is celebrated in India. I was extremely glad and honoured at having got the opportunity to talk about a man who revolutionized Physics with his discovery, The Raman Effect. Several performances were put up by the students of other methods.
The program concluded by a lovely tribute to our dearest Ma’am, Dr. Anna Neena George.
