I got the opportunity to attend a lecture by Dr. Anna Neena George for in-service teachers of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Canacona. The lecture was marked by several brain teasers and Rebus puzzles making the session very effective and interesting. Ma'am Anna's speciality of incorporating humour into teaching was well liked by all teachers in attendance. Science demonstrations were conducted by the S.Y. B.Ed. students. Ma'am Anna stressed on the fact that such science demonstrations should be conducted in school to help the students develop a liking for the subject.
